Kindness

March 7, 2019

Amelia Earhart said “No kind action ever stops with itself. One kind action leads to another. Good example is followed. A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves.”

So for our Lenten journey today, I would like to encourage you to share kindness with someone else.  A random act of kindness is a selfless act performed by kind people to either help or cheer up someone else, for no reason other than to make people happier.

I am sure that you have experienced a random act of kindness sometime in your life. Take a second to think about what you received and how it made you feel.

Give someone an unexpected flower, or piece of candy. Write a note, just to let someone know that you are thinking of them or telling them how they touched your life. One time, when I was buying an ice tea through a McDonalds drive-thru, the person in front of me, paid for my drink, it made my day!

If you need some help with this idea, there is a website full of inspiration, ideas, even a full years calendar of suggestions!  The Website is: randomactsofkindness.org

Share some kindness today, not only will you be touching someone’s life in very special way, you will feel better too!
